August 16, 2008: The Bike Wash Ride to Mandeville, LA
25 miles of pre-wash cycle followed by 10 miles of sun dry. Then 15 miles of heavy wash followed by 20 miles of mild cloud cover drying. 5 miles of intense rinse cycle did us in ... we were headed to Mortons in Madisonville, but fell short by less than 10 miles! Chili's in Mandeville had the honor of welcoming us, providing towels to dry off and bags to put our wet gear in ... we left puddles on the floor, but it didn't phase them! Everyone agreed that this is the type of ride one gets to tell stories about in the future!
